Charles Messina is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Cortez, FL who attends IMG Academy. Strong and compact catcher's build. Has loose and flexible actions behind the plate defensively, moves well side to side and has nice balance, receives the ball cleanly, quick and compact arm and makes accurate throws, polished overall defensive actions. Right handed hitter, starts a bit open with a leg raise trigger, stays well times, short and quick to the ball with some uphill plane, ball came off the barrel hard in the games with multiple extra base hits, hits to all fields. Solid all around player at a premium position. Excellent student. Named to the Class of 2026 All American Games Top Prospect List.
