Kenneth Schaedel is a 2022 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Cape Henry College. He showed good speed with a 6.89 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a strong athletic build. In the outfield he showed good feel for the fundamentals coming through the ball well fielding it off the left foot and showing easy carry with a smooth arm action to the bases. On the infield he showed flashes of the actions taking a good route on the back hand and showing enough arm strength to play the left side of the infield. On the mound the fastball showed well in the mid 80's with a shorter arm action releasing by the ear as he is able to sue ht lower half well to get down hill working glove side mostly. The curveball has 11-5 shape missing barrels and getting weaker ground balls while the changeup was the third pitch in the upper 70's with signs of arm side action. Right-handed hitter, uses a hanging leg lift to trigger an aggressive swing with the barrel getting out front and impacting baseballs hard on a line tot eh pull side with good strength in the hands and extension through contact. Good student. Named to the 2021 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
