Matthew Kerrigan is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Valwood Preparatory. Medium current build with lean muscular build and tremendous amount of projection. Moves easy with athletic overall actions in all areas. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.14 seconds. Primary position OF, working methodically through the ball with good angles. Gets to the ball well and uses feet to create good direction through an out front transfer. Long and loose arm path with accurate throws up to 83 mph to the bags. Secondary LHP, with a fluid delivery and solid posture over the rubber. Same good arm swing and works into an over-the-top arm angle to release. Easily navigated his 2.0 IP on just 17 pitches, 82% strikes. FB at 80 mph with fading action that never got barreled and bigger CB with vertical depth in the upper-60's. LHH working from an open stance, high back elbow and hands tight to the body. Shows good rhythm in those hands and displayed real feel for the barrel, peppering line drives gap to gap. Does create some loft, especially to the pull side and projects for legitimate power long term. Young prospect with every opportunity to be a two-way impact at the next level. Tremendous student as well who is committed to Auburn.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
