Lorenzo Rios is a 2022 C/MIF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Yorkville, IL who attends Joliet Catholic Academy. Recorded a 7.26 second 60-yard dash time. Good size with broad shoulders and well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary catcher with quick transfers and replaces footwork well. Accurate throws with a very quick release. Arm is accurate and gets on top of the ball with a best recorded pop time of 1.89 seconds. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open and upright stance and a narrow start. Full swing and gets on top of the ball nicely. Has some lift to the swing and looks to leverage out in front. Bat speed plays nicely with a gap to gap approach. Good extension and can turn on the ball to create carry to the pull side. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
