Carson Zahn is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial. Slender young build with plenty of time and room to get stronger. Very good runner for his age, 6.81 in the sixt and his speed played well in the games. Listed as a primary shortstop but played the outfield instead, has an infielders short and compact arm action in the outfield, low 3/4's arm slot, did show lots of range going back on the ball, would like to see more in the middle infield and especially second base. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight upright stance with a low hand start, busy hand load, has some quickness in his hands, contact approach, bat speed will continue to improve as he gets stronger. High energy player who hustles and uses his speed well. Good student.
