Banks Connolly is a 2019 C/RHP with a 5-9 166 lb. frame from Spartanburg, SC who attends Spartanburg HS. Young athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, gets coiled and loaded well, stands close to the plate with a short and quick line drive swing, consistent line drive contact, solid overall approach. Has good quickness behind the plate and receives the ball cleanly, good transfer and release, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Also pitched, efficient delivery with good lower half use, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 71 mph with occasional cutting action, soft curveball. Threw strikes and went after hitters. Good student.
