2023 Sunshine Southeast Showcase
Josh Gibbs is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Forsyth Central. Smaller and compact build with rotational strength. Ran an impressive 6.72 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, snatch to the hands and good mover to both sides. Has massive arm strength and showed it off with throws up to 93 mph. Very light on his feet and has a real chance to stick at shortstop long term. Also jumped on the mound and showed some good stuff. Let it eat from a max effort delivery up to 89 mph. Mixed in a mid-70s curveball with some downward bite. Right-handed hitter and really shines with the bat. Uses an even base and loads hard into the backside. Uncoils and rotates the hips with lots of intent to create enormous power. Has explosive hands and impressive mix of bat-to-ball and juice. Was all over the barrel in game and an overall consistent performer. Loaded with tools and has a very bright future. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List. Excellent student. Committed to the University of Georgia,
