Jarrod Mays is a 2023 1B/C with a 5-10 215 lb. frame from Xenia, OH who attends Greeneview. Features a stocky build with strength present. Ran a 7.3 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman. Displayed patient approach to ground balls. Solid footwork helped get around them well. Glove roll slightly hinders the ability to get it down on time consistently. Moved well around the bag. Flashed some carry on throws with accurate double-play feeds. Threw 75 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a spread out stance in the box. Creates good separation during pre-pitch load. Uses a pure pullside approach. Rotational swing showed good bat speed through the zone. Combines with strength to produce loud contact on occasion. Creating more loft within the bat path would allow for the power to play more regularly in-game. Has the potential to become a consistent power bat. Very good student. Named to the Indianapolis Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
