Zachary Brink is a 2021 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 176 lb. frame from Lenexa, KS who attends Olathe Northwest. Medium frame with a medium build and room to add. Ran a 7.71 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Fields out in front with a with a funnel in to the body showing soft glove actions. Quick transfers into throws getting behind the ball. Full and loose arm action in the back creating online carry topping out at 82 MPH. Lefthanded hitter with an upright and open stance to start. Stays on the backside well with consistent barrel control. Creates some upper half coil into load. Works through a line drive plane using the whole field. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with a leg lift to the belt. Creates coil at the gather over the backside. Long arm action in the back into a three-quarter slot. Creates sharp arm side run on the fastball topping out at 80 MPH. Will intention cut the ball at times as well in the lower velocity belt around 75 MPH. Will also mix in the occasional changeup. Good student as well.
