Luke Simpson is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Skyline. He ran a 7.39 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a larger build. At first base he receives the ball with a wide base showing good feel for the glove as he funnels into the mid line and made accurate feeds to second base on the double play feeds. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base using a small stride to trigger the swing and transfer his weight into the swing, the bat path stays direct to the ball with some feel for the barrel as he looks to impact the ball to the pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
