Clay Murphey is a 2019 C/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Mt De Sales Academy. Recorded a 7.81 second 60-yard dash time. Slender build with a medium frame and lots of room to fill out. Primary catcher with a low set up and short arm stroke. Gains ground well toward the bag with a solid transfer. Fundamentals there to build on as he continues to add strength. Secondary righthanded pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Quick delivery to the plate with a slight leg lift and long stride to the plate. Small arm circle with a high three-quarters arm slot and breaking ball has 11/5 shape. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance and short swing path. Inside hand path to contact with a level swing plane. Leg kick to use as a timing mechanism. Good student.
