2020 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Cole Paro is a 2021 C/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Wolfeboro, NH who attends Kingswood Regional. Ran a 7.59 second 60-yard dash. Lean and athletic frame with plenty of room to add strength. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with sound overall mechanics, shows some stiffness to how he receives at times but transfers it well and gets it out cleanly with a short arm action that creates some carry to the bag. Also pitched, works solely from the stretch and stays on line well with enough control of his body to vary timing with leg lifts. Creates sinking life on the fastball while mixing a changeup with similar action out of the hand and late fade and a slurve-type breaking ball for strikes. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open with a small stride forward into the swing. Works a longer swing that whips the barrel through on a line drive path creating line drives to the middle of the field that would improve with added strength.
