Ben Gneiser is a 2022 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Long and athletic frame with excellent physical projection. Ran a 7.29 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes a fluid approach to the ball with athletic strides and good balance, carries momentum through the funnel and has an easy release with good arm strength. Shows similar athleticism and arm strength at first base with easy movements and an ability to adjust arm slot on the move. Has tremendous upside on the mound with the present stuff to get outs at a high level; works through a very angled release with exceptional arm speed that generates excellent life to the fastball. Shows strong feel for a firm changeup with great fade tunneled down in the zone and shows good components to the breaking ball with tight spin and late sharpness. Left-handed hitter, has good looseness to his swing as he creates leverage with his hands and pairs excellent bat speed with a consistent barrel as he drove balls in the air to the pull side with long carry throughout his round.
