Marcus Galvan is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Ruben S. Ayala HS. Recorded an 8.01 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame with a very lean build and room for strength. Primary catcher with a lower set and start and quick transfers and releases. Higher arm slot with short ground gained. Throws are accurate around the bag. Arm strength plays nicely from secondary position of the infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a wide base. Slightly open stance and generates some whip to the barrel with a full swing path. Shows a feel and handle for the barrel and gets onto the front side well. Remains balanced for the most part of the swing and lives in the middle of the field with line drive contact.
