Sander Beck is a 2008 MIF/RHP that attends Severn HS and resides in Millersville, MD with a 6'2", 195 lb. frame. Sander has a tall athletic build and was rated the second-best prospect at the event. While he is listed as a primary infielder it looks like his best option is on the mound. At the plate Sander is able to hit the ball all over the field. He has good bat speed, but tends to drop his back shoulder very hard. When he can work on his balance and approach he should see alot of improvement. In the field Sander is very impressive. He has a strong arm and is very good to the ball. His throws have nice carry and he has very smooth overall actions. On the mound Sander throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm action. He has a live arm and had the highest velocity (86) of anyone at the event. Sander throws a sharp 10 to 4 CB and a nice straight CH. Sander is a player that will attract attention from the highest level college programs in the country.
