Will Medina is a 2021 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends South Hills. Medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.07 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth paced footwork while rounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and worked through transition with loose exchanges. Released from a three-quarters slot topping at 79 miles per hour. Also worked out from the outfield showing aggressive footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels off to side and maintained momentum to the bag while working through exchange. Looked to keep throws down while releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot, topped at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and large leg lift trigger. Coils hands at load and looked to swing with intent and a slightly lifted path through extension. Showed quick hands through the zone with the barrel skills to effective throw bat head with authority. Produced sharp contact with squared with good carry to the gap. Excellent student as well.
