Jace Caves is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-2 174 lb. frame from Loranger, LA who attends Hammond. Long, athletic build with lots of length to project upon. Ran a 7.34 in the 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, up tempo delivery from windup. Standard three-quarter please with good balance and direction through release from shorter arm action. Fastball showed sinking action in low-80s with good short depth, break to the curveball. Filled the zone with confidence. Showed a strong arm in his infield drills and projects well for a corner spot. Solid arm across and on-line, accurate throws. Stayed under control and moved well for size. Right-handed hitter, big hand load from medium base and upright stance. Shows solid impact to the pull side and uses long levers well. Present arm talent. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
