Victor Martinez is a 2023 1B/C/3B with a 5-1 180 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Lake Nona. Young, broad shouldered frame with present strength to frame. Ran a 9.61 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front and shows a quick exchange into a short arm action, stays compact with actions and remains balanced on the turn, extra step through release, works on top and shows accuracy, arm strength will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, shows more refinement from the left side at present. Begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Shows looseness to hands through the zone with a full swing path through the zone, remains balanced in swing with extension out front and fluidity to the barrel. Slightly open and wide base from the right side with a high hand set; long swing path with looseness to hands, stays inside the ball with some lift to path, projects with extension in swing.
