Ethan Scheffer is a 2023 C/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Deland, FL who attends Deland. Recorded a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a lean frame. Starts behind the plate with narrow, even feet. Showed a clean transfer with a short and quick release. Actions are repeatable as he also displayed good arm speed. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide base with slightly open feet and a high back elbow and hands. Employs a short and hands-oriented swing. Created some whip through the zone on a level bat path. Flashed some feel to use the opposite field as well. Carried bat into the game, pulling his hands inside for extra-bases. Has the tools to build on and offer impact with continued added strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
