Andrew Hiestand is a 2021 RHP/3B/MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Notre Dame HS. Broad shouldered young build, good present strength for his age. High leg lift delivery, stays tall over the rubber well, full arm action in back, 3/4's arm slot coming through, some effort on release. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, gets good sink and run at the plate, will induce lots of ground ball contact. Tends to slow arm on curveball but gets good 12/6 downer depth and has good feel for throwing the pitch for strikes. Turns over a change up with a slower arm as well. Has an idea of how to pitch and fills up the strike zone. Right handed hitter, arm bar load with an aggressive swing with some uphill plane and extension, has some bat speed for his age. Third base tools and actions on defense. Good student.
