Dylan Verschleiser is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 5-9 138 lb. frame from Murray Hill, NJ who attends Governor Livingston. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength while continued physical maturity. Primary right handed pitcher, stays balanced at gather with a leg lift and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Released from an extended three-quarters arm slot generating good extension out front through finish. Fastball had some sinking action when located down in the zone, topped at 77 miles per hour. Consistently attacked hitters early in counts with the ability to locate fastball to each side of the plate. Cuveball had 11/5 shape with good depth, also showed the ability to located offing down in the strike zone. Challenged hitters with both pitched and maintained velocity through each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Deep arm circle at separation and released from a high energy, high three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance. Stays balanced throughout with rotational lower half actions to contact. Primarily let ball travel to a deeper hitting position and flashed an inside path to contact that created consistent contact to the opposite field gap. Flashed occasional jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Very good student as well.
