Alex Demos is a 2021 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Cactus Shadows HS. Medium and athletic frame with long legs and some strength present in his lower half. Ran a 7.80 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves to the baseball with good body control and some twitch to actions, displayed soft hands when fielding the baseball, takes his arm back to a loose arm action into throws, showed the ability to shorter the arm action when needing to release the baseball quicker, took a good round in the infield with average arm strength that projects well. Secondary righthanded pitcher, starts windup with a side step up to a high leg lift, throws with intent in his online delivery, takes arm back to a full arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, fastball jumps some out of his hand topping out at 79 mph, raw mechanics on the mound with promising components to refine. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open and upright stance, takes a big stride into contact, creates some raw bat speed with tools to work with at the plate, created some pop off of the barrel when on time, line drive approach. Outstanding student.
