Jordan Chen is a 2018 2B/IF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Montverde, FL who attends Montverde Academy. Medium, athletic frame with slender build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.56 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, even-based stance with simple left lift trigger. Loose, extended swing path through the zone, hits off of backside, showed good approach with intent to hit the ball to all fields. Line drive swing plane. Worked out defensively in the infield; showed solid athleticism in actions to both sides, lines the ball up and fields cleanly, clean footwork. Made accurate throws across the diamond up to 61 MPH. Very good student.
