Michael Gracer is a 2021 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Concord, NC who attends Northwest Cabarrus HS. Medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary first baseman with smooth paced footwork while coming off the bag and centering the baseball. Funnels cleanly and worked through exchange efficiently. Full arm action while throwing across the infield, topped at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Aggressive shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Looked to throw barrel head out to contact and drive the baseball to each gap. Flashed solid carry off the the barrel when on time and squared. Also pitched utilizing a smooth side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing good downhill plane with some run in the low to mid 80's topped at 84 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth. Flashed sharper, later depth when maintaining arm speed through extension. Good student as well.
