Dalton Wentz is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Madison Heights, VA who attends Amherst County. Tall frame with very wide shoulders and massive growth potential in terms of strength. Ran a 6.83 in the sixty yard dash. A primary short stop, natural feel for the approach and has clean actions to both sides with range. Quick to transfer and release and has a ton of arm strength across the diamond. Smooth transitions and 97 mph arm strength. A switch-hitter: LHH-quick load into the scap and shows lift to the pull side. On the circuit a long time and the all field hit tool has been on display. RHH-more level swing but just as good in terms of bat speed. Looks to get out front and it is loud line drive contact with carry when squared. Also pitched and has plenty of ability there with a low-90's fastball and solid changeup. Named to the PG All-American Classic.
