Max Haug is a 2022 RHP/1B, MIF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends The Bolles. Ran a 7.51 second 60 yard dash. A primary righthanded pitcher, with a long lean build and room to fill, showed a short quick arm action working on top of the ball with a fastball that showed plane down in the zone, the fastball sat 78-83 mph as he kept it down around the knees mostly, mixed in two distinct breaking balls, the first of which was a 12-6 curveball in the low 70's, the second was a slider in the low to mid 70's with a short sweeping action, the fastball curveball combination was effective in the zone throughout the three innings creating swings and misses. On the infield the hands work soft out front funneling the ball into the mid line, keeps the momentum going through the funnel and into the throwing process with a short arm action that he can manipulate to throw from multiple arm angles with some carry on the throws. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a wide base and high hands, the barrel enters the zone very steep as he looks to pull the ball recording a 88 mph exit velocity. Very good student.
