LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 13U/14U Sunshine East Showcase
Cory Matthews is a 2027 RHP/C/3B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends University Christian. Big and strong athletic build, really stands out for his age physically. Primary right handed pitcher but didn't pitch at this event, as been up to 81 mph at PG tournaments in the past. Right handed hitter, hits from a deep high hand load with a late drop into slot, big leg lift trigger, winds up into his swing, has good hands driving his swing, long and strong swing with some bat speed, looking to pull and drive the ball. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Worked out all over the field on defense, arm strength is his best defensive tool at present, still developing actions and lower half agility through the ball. Good student. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
