Alexander Corbin is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from San Marcos, CA who attends San Marcos. Corbin has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has developing actions in the outfield with arm strength up to 77 MPH. Corbin throws with a very short stride and has an upright finish. At the plate, he starts with a square stance and uses a leg lift trigger to start his swing. He has a shorter swing path to the ball and made line drive contact. Corbin has some hitting tools and projects some with adjustments with his timing. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. He has developing arm speed and throws across his body. Corbin has some occasional run on his fastball with developing feel for his off speed pitches. Outstanding student.
