Matthew Hunt is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Valley. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary outfielder with clean, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling. Clean arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate on line carry to the bag topping at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high hand set. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Stays very balanced throughout with a level, line drive swing plane through extension. Consistently barrel baseball showing a smooth, fluid finish while working to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
