Isaac Ontiveros is a 2021 LHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Villa Park HS. Long and slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Chris Sale arm slot and general mechanics, front side tends to be early opening, cross body at release, has deception. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, plenty of running action, maintained his velocity very well, misses arm side when he misses. Shows good spin on his curveball when he gets his fingers on top of the ball, might want to work on a more of a slider-type breaking ball in the future. Projects well physically and should continue to improve. Good student.
