Joseph Torres is a 2018 OF/2B with a 5-7 122 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Washburn Baseball Academy. Very slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has very good hitting fundamentals, very balanced and direct to the ball, uses his lower half well, loose swing, works the middle of the field with consistent line drive contact. 7.32 runner, athleticism and arm work much better at second base at present than in the outfield, has some first step quickness and makes accurate throws from a short and compact arm action. Wish much bigger and stronger hitters had his hitting fundamentals and execution. Good student.
