Alex Astorga is a 2017 SS with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Redmond, WA who attends Redmond HS. Lean athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.18 runner, has a quick first step defensively with fluid movments to the ball, good footwork with active feet, has good athleticism in the middle infield, gets rid of the ball quickly, second base arm strength helped by the quick release, plays defense with confidence. Right handed hitter, closed stance but front side opens early, short line drive swing, hits to all fields, pretty quiet swing with lots of contact. Good student.
