William Jackson is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Glenview, IL who attends Loyola Academy. Large frame with lean, highly-projectable present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.19 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with leg lift timing mechanism, shows good bat speed on a line drive plane with approach to go to all fields. Successful hitting the ball into the air, showed ability to hit to all fields as well. Quick out of the box with good speed down the line. Worked out in the outfield, moves to ball well and fields cleanly, shows long and loose arm action with smooth crow hop, very good arm strength clocked up to 85 MPH. Pitched as well, shows good flow throughout delivery but will get offline, throws from high three quarters arm slot and generates good downhill plane to the plate when online. Fastball worked 77-82 MPH with some running life; flashed curveball in mid-60's with good velocity differential from fastball and some feel to spin. Named to 2016 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
