2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase
Harrison Riley is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Whitewater. Large frame with long limbs. Ran a 6.93 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher who only pitched and hit at the event, starts windup with a side step into a high leg lift, longer arm action up to an over the top arm slot, developing arm speed and arm strength at this time, glides down the mound, lands on a soft front leg, deliberate crossfire delivery, low effort release throwing very easy. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, lived mostly to the glove side half of the plate with it, not afraid to attack hitters and let his defense work, pair of secondary offerings with mid-60s curveball and changeup up to 68 mph. Righthanded hitter, small leg lift trigger and strides into contact, direct path to contact, patient approach at the plate, flashed some hard hit balls to the opposite field gap and was able to work to all fields, gets rotational with swing at times but has barrel control to all fields. Great student.
