Seth Bennett is a 2018 MIF/RHP, OF with a 6-2 173 lb. frame from Somerset, KY who attends Somerset. Large frame with lean, athletic present build; excellent projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.28 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, squared stance; simple leg lift trigger with good shift into contact with lower half. Has good hand quickness and bat speed, gets on line drive plane and maintains whole-field approach, can drive the ball on a line back through the box and projects for more power with continued strength gains. Athletic actions in the infield with good footwork and fluidity throughout, fields cleanly and moves well to surround the ball, shows solid arm strength across the diamond up to 76 MPH. Worked out in outfield as well, shows athleticism through actions, maintains momentum through fielding actions and doesn't sacrifice movement into crow hop. Quality arm strength with good carry up to 78 MPH. Pitched as well, balanced delivery with good repeatability and smoothness. Hides ball well and has deception. Throws from three quarters arm slot, generates solid arm speed and extension at release, fastball worked 73-76 MPH. Threw consistent strikes with fastball. Showed slider with late sweeping action, mixed and matched both pitches effectively and filled up the zone. Very good student.
