Nathan Sofield is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-7 157 lb. frame from Tuckerton, NJ who attends Pinelands Reg. Shorter, compact frame. At the plate he sets up in narrow, slightly open stance. Shows a compact, high effort swing with upper-cut. Squared it up to the pull side and demonstrated he has current gap power. Defensively behind the plate; he starts in a comfortable low stance. Comes out of his crouch well, gets rid of it quickly with short arm-action and a 3/4 slot. Average arm currently. Competed well on the mound and attacked hitters. Uses a high leg kick and got his fastball and curveball over for strikes. Clocked a 7.2 60-yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
