Kyle McLaughlin is a 2019 SS/2B/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Covington, LA who attends St. Paul's HS. Medium athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a very short and compact swing, inside swing path, polished and repeatable high contact approach, limited lower half use, opposite field to middle of the field approach but showed the ability in games to turn on the inside pitch as well. 7.19 runner, second base actions and tools, has soft hands and gets behind the ball well, good lower half flexibility and plays low. Good student.
