2020 California Workout Camp (Saturday)
JC Ng is a 2021 OF/1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Foster City, CA who attends Menlo. He showed good speed with a 6.94 section sixty. A primary outfielder with a medium athletic build. In the outfield he showed controlled actions working to the ball with consistently clean glove actions, he does a nice job carrying some momentum into his throws with a solid transition and plus arm strength on his accurate throws at 85 mph. Left-handed hitter, showed really well in batting practice with a smooth operation highlighted by a quick bat path and plus feel for the barrel from his advanced rhythm in his swing, he uses the lower half very well creating jump off the barrel to both gaps and developing game power. Excellent student.
