Semler Dieterich is a 2018 RHP/ with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Hope Valley, RI who attends Avon Old Farms. Medium frame with compact, athletic build. Primary righthanded pitcher; hunches over through windup, semi-collapsed through delivery, quick step back into wind up then varies tempo through release, lands online and maintains good direction. Compact arm stroke through the back, throws from ear with deception, fastball worked 74-78 mph with the ability to cut it and sink it while working down in the zone. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth; also worked in changeup with solid feel. Pounded the zone with all three pitches and challenged hitters.
