Francis Segarra is a 2019 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends Boca Raton Community HS. Slender and taller frame with a small build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.66 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Really gets around ball and maintains momentum toward the base. Fields out front with a clean funnel to the body. Hands are soft and showed some ability to range to both sides. Softer carry to the bag with solid accuracy. Righthanded hitter with a very wide stance while staying balanced. Short rotational swing to contact. High energy swing working to the pull side. Utilizes a line drive swing path. RIghthanded pitcher. Compact arm action in back at hand break and releases from a tight high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball stays straight topping out at 78 miles per hour. Threw a lot of strikes and looked to get weak contact. Good student as well.
