Kelsen Johnson is a 2021 C/3B, UT with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Lithia, FL who attends Newsome HS. Recorded a 7.10 second 60-yard dash time. Physical build with well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary catcher who receives out in front. Snatchy hands with a longer transfer but quality arm strength recorded up to 76 mph. Lower arm slot with good accuracy down to the bag. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Quality bat speed and turns the barrel over with intent and strength. Balanced and open start and rotates hard. Compact stroke and torques through his lower half well. Quality impact and will add power as he gets the bat head out in front more consistently. Great student.
