Jacob Starling is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Trinity Preparatory School. Recorded a 6.63 second 60-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with room to fill out and add strength. Primary shortstop with some arm strength, recorded up to 85 mph, and carry out of the hand. Hands work well with quickness and has athleticism to actions. Smooth on the charge with projectable tools. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, spread open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Looseness to hands and rotates the back shoulder while looking to lift. Gets weight onto front side well and creates good carry off the barrel when squared. Timing is fairly good with an upper half dominant swing. Good student.
