Jay Keeley is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Waubonsie Valley. Medium, square shouldered frame with long limbs and room to fill throughout physically moving forward. Ran an 8.60 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with bend at the waist, can implement additional footwork coming through the ball, young actions, full arm action on throws across the diamond and works on top of the ball. Also pitched, short side step moving into delivery with a belt high leg raise; shows tempo to delivery and does a nice job of staying on line down the mound towards the plate. Compact arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters slot, works on top of fastball well, topped out at 70 mph, mostly true in life while mixing a short curveball at 64 mph.
