Joseph Palminteri is a 2022 UT/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from West Milford, NJ who attends West Milford. Medium, broad shouldered with present strength to frame, additional room to develop moving forward. Ran a 5.32 40-yard dash. Graded out best from the infield in this look, fields the ball out front and shows deliberate tempo to footwork, looseness to arm stroke and works to a higher arm slot. Young actions in the outfield, takes short steps to the ball and shows a similar high slot on throws. Also pitched, short turn step into a leg lift up above belt; short arm action through the back and hides ball well getting to a high three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with occasional sink when down in the zone. Front side opens early at times but filled the zone while mixing a 12-6 shaped curveball and flashed a changeup with fading life. Righthanded hitter, begins with a crouched stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a quick leg lift trigger moving into contact. Swings with intent and looks to impact the ball at point of contact, fast bat through the zone. Loads hands back on time and generates leverage at the point of contact with hard carry off the barrel.
