Erick Orbeta is a 2018 2B/SS/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter HS. Medium frame with present athleticism and some room to fill out. Recorded a 7.16 60-yard dash time. Solid athletic actions in the infield with clean fielding ability. Quick hands and good footwork with some present arm strength and accurate throws across the diamond. Open stance with a high hand set at the plate. Repeatable swing with quick hands and a balanced approach. Good present hand speed and good plate coverage. Looked to drive the ball to the pull side or up the middle with a line drive swing path. Lower half is in line and shifts weight well into the point of contact.
