Jake Vitale is a 2021 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Laurel Springs, NJ who attends Sterling. Ran a 7.07 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a medium frame and build, with room to fill out and add strength. Works through the ball well, moving with good footwork and some lateral quickness to positioning. Has quick hands and a clean funnel in, releasing quick from multiple arm slots. Has some present arm strength, making throws across the diamond at 84 miles per hour. Has an upright and open stance from the left side of the plate, with a small leg lift trigger and uphill path to contact. Has a high-effort swing, with developing barrel control and pull side approach. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a rotational delivery. Has a compact arm stroke from a three-quarter slot, getting some arm side run to the fastball at 79 miles per hour. Has feel to spin a pair of breaking balls, first being a curveball at 63 miles per hour. Also showed feel to land a slider in the zone at 67 miles per hour. Good student.
