Hayden Strickland is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Northport, AL who attends Tuscaloosa Co. Medium athletic build with a strong lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow open start, loads to his back side and tends to stay there, short swing with some hand quickness to the ball, works the middle of the field with line drive contact, can use his strong lower half more in generating bat speed. 7.74 runner in the sixty. Showed good quickness in the middle infield, especially with his hands and release, arm works well and will continue to get stronger, projects well on defense in the middle infield. Also pitched, rotational upper body delivery with a compact arm action, mid 3/4's arm slot. Gets good run on a mid-70's fastball and throws lots of strikes with the pitch. Also threw a sweeping slider with some depth to it. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
