LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2021 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Walter Schwartz is a 2022 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Westfield, NJ who attends St. Joseph. Strong, durable frame with well-proportioned lower half and some room to fill out. Uptempo delivery with short side-step rocker into a high leg lift and explosive lower half movements down the slope. Proficient strike thrower with good command of all four quadrants, flashing late life and natural arm-side run to his fastball. Fastball worked in the mid-80s for the most part, topping out at 87 mph from a higher 3/4's arm slot. Mixed in sharp 12-6 curveball with tight spin and late depth through the zone, while flashing the ability to land it for strikes and generate plenty of swings-and-misses. Also flashed well-replicated changeup with horizontal fade and depth to it. Intriguing present arsenal with plenty of projection and velocity upside. Excellent Student. Named to the 2021 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
