Corey Farber is a 2019 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Medium frame with a lean build and beginnings of strength. Primary catcher with a narrow, even stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working in line to the bag out of crouch. Flips ball out of glove at exchange and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Throws produced on line carry to the bag at 72 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.03. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Simple shift into contact with lower half and utilized a direct hand path to baseball. Uphill barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to work the ball to the middle of the field and flashed solid feel for the barrel when working the other way. Also pitched utilizing a simple rock step to high leg lift delivery. Works through balanced quickly while employing drop and drive lower half actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly producing run to arm side in the low to mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/5 shape with looser spin and some depth in the mid 60's. Consistently located fastball to the bottom of the zone and induced weak, ground ball contact.
