Christian Pregent is a 2019 C/1B, 3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Daytona Beach, FL who attends Father Lopez HS. Tall, strong and athletic build that has some room to fill as he matures in to the body. On the mound shows a smooth easy delivery from a three-quarters slot. Short arm circle in back with good extension at release point. Good downhill plane on fastball at 77 to 80 miles per hour. Flashed a changeup at 71mph with good feel and arm speed. Worked out at catcher and first base. Behind the plate he had a high set up with a staggered stance and threw accurately to the bag with carry. At first base he showed good fielding actions with precise double play feeds to second base and threw well on the run playing the bunt. At the plate he has a square stance with tall torso keeping his weight distributed 60/40. Takes a short stride, lands in strong launch position with torque, hips get extended, makes solid contact with bat speed. 2019 Top Prospect List for Florida Top and Under Showcase.
